Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and name when you create an account.
• Device information — a device identifier and platform (iOS/Android) used to enforce the single-active-device license tied to your account, plus a log of device changes.
• Study and exam data — your practice and mock exam attempts, answers, scores, and progress across courses, chapters, and topics.
• Content-protection events — to protect copyrighted exam content from redistribution, the app detects and logs when a screenshot or screen recording is taken while viewing questions or lessons, together with the device, question/lesson involved, and timestamp. See Section 4 for what this triggers.
• Payment information — course purchases are processed by our third-party payment processor, MamoPay. We do not receive or store your full card details; we receive confirmation of payment status from MamoPay to activate your course access.
• Support requests — anything you submit to us through in-app support or by email.

2. How we use this information

• To create and secure your account and authenticate you.
• To enforce course access and the one-active-device license tied to your subscription.
• To generate practice sessions and mock exams, and to track and show you your own progress.
• To detect and deter screenshotting or recording of exam content, and apply the temporary access restrictions described in Section 4.
• To process payments and activate purchased courses.
• To respond to support requests.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.

3. Where your data is stored

Imtihanak data is stored on infrastructure we operate and control directly, secured with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and database-level access controls that restrict each account to its own data. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties except MamoPay (to process payments) and as required by law.

4. Screenshot and screen-recording detection

Exam and practice question content is licensed study material and is protected against redistribution. While you are viewing questions or lessons, the app detects screenshots and screen recordings taken on your device and logs the event to your account (see Section 1). Repeated screenshots on the same account trigger an escalating, temporary lockout of your account's access to practice content: 1 minute on the first detection, 5 minutes on the second, 30 minutes on the third, and 60 minutes on each detection after that. This restriction is tied to your account, not just the device, and cannot be self-cleared from within the app. If you believe a lockout was triggered in error, contact us at hello@imtihanak.com.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or ask us to export your data, at any time by emailing hello@imtihanak.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Deleting your account removes your profile, study history, and device records from active use; we may retain minimal records where required for legal, security, or payment-reconciliation purposes.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adult professionals and candidates preparing for a professional licensing exam. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated in-app or by email where practical.
